993 windshield and rear glass update on 74 to 88

Has any one updated there glass and seals to 993 ?

I have updated my glass before back in the 90's to 964 glass and trimless seals, front and rear , I had already updated the side door frames and rear 1/4 windows to the 993 style, and that was very simple ,

I have already ordered all four inner outer seals, and the factory 993 front and rear glass,

It should give me a cleaner look and less wind noise and I think greater chassis rigidity because it is bonded to the chassis , parts should be in next week ,I will post pic's of the processes, if any body is interested

if you have done this before, please let me know what to expect.

Thanks
Helio

I hope I'm wrong, but I think I read in a 993 book; the body was enlarged by a little over ther 964. I hope it has nothing to do with the window frame areas. I also have 993 and like the look of the trim/ window seals.

Thanks

Wow it looks alot better, the 993 front and rear glass needs the factory 993 seal (4 of them)as for the rear 1/4 glass I used 993 glass and seals , those just get roped in, unlike the the front and rear those get glued in, I also replaced the door window frame with 993 , they just slide in place and bolt on ,

Ouch, not sure if I want to order that much glass. I thought you could get rid of the metal trim and use 911 windows with different seals. Not a fan of the metal trim at all.

Def looking into the 993 front and rear glass/seals.
