KEP clutch adjustment

Hey all; been trying to adjust my new KEP stage 1 clutch today. Don,t want to go too far with the motor re-install until I have this figured out. Done lots of searching but have come up with nothing. My pedal feels notchy for the last little bit, and is about 1" shy of returning to the up position. Worked well before I pulled the motor. Anyone have adjustment ideas? Philip

read up on bowden tubes... BugShop FAQ: What Exactly is a "Bowden" Tube? (clutch stuff)
once you understand the principle then it will make adjusting your clutch easy.

Hey David, thanks for the read. At the point where i'm adjusted now, I can't seen to get the omega spring from turning to the point where there is no pressure on it. Each time I press the clutch in, the spring snaps out of position. I see one person here calls it the point of no return. It seams the cable is too tight in my opinion. Philip

Hey rsscotty; saw that thread, were I found the easy way to get the spring in. My spring looks like that. The best it seems I can do is adjust so the pedal is about 1.25" from were it should be, without the omega spring slipping and loosing tension. any more adjustment on the cable, and the spring pops out of position when the pedal is depressed.
