Does anyone know this 930?
Yet another one that I have on my list. A member on this forum recommended I posted this, as it appears this particular car has been discussed before, so any information you can provide me with would be greatly appreciated....
I've been getting photos and information on this one for over a week, and the dealer that has it on consignment has been great to deal with. However, the owner is difficult to get a hold of, and I've been trying to get more details on the work that has been done, as to dates and parts used, etc. It's in northern California, so I cannot just drop by and look at it. » Kassabian Motors Inventory of High Performance, Classic and Muscle Cars Thanks in advance. |

What is inside the console cassette holder - blue looking thing - a boost adjusting knob? If so, run away from it. M2c.

Counterpoint. I think it's a damn nice looking car. If you are planning to mod the 930, this car has all the right stuff. It's not an original slant, you can probably use that as a bargaining chip and get a better price.

Do not know anything about the car itself but I do know it has been for sale for a while I saw it about 4 or 5 months ago for the first time.

I love the color combo and think its a good looking car. I also recall seeing this one pop up before, so as a previous poster has mentioned it seems like its been on the market for a while.
Miguel's 2 cents is that it looks like the car may have cockpit mounted "dial a death" manual boost controller. I would not personally run away from an otherwise decent car for that alone, but it could be a sign of elevated boost levels which can certainly kill an engine.

Decent car, decent mods. I'd offer 30 on it, given that it's a conversion and been for sale forever.

The car appears to be very clean and well taken care of from the photos.. Of course you'll be doing a PPI so I wouldn't be discouraged by the mods at this point.. but then I prefer a modded car.
Any engine shots? As sidebar.. Damn, that car looks like mine! Petrol Blue #376/Cork.. this one has sports searts and I have Recaro "C", this one 18" BBS, me Super 18" Cups... both are slantnose! I guess I'm blown away cause I've not seen another this close to mine in features and color combo.

Do you guys like the 18s on that thing? They look kind of cartoonish, don't they?

I'd make an offer contingent on a PPI, and fly out for the PPI. Not sure why someone would put a brake bias controller on a street car. Nice color combination.

Hmmm.....Original 78-89 930 Turbo brakes are self biasing, with smaller pistons in the rear and larger up front......

You might try in no particular order, Deutsche Motor Sport/ Tom Martenot in Concord. The Stable/ Alan, in S.F., Jerry Woods/Rich in Campbell.
