Operation intercooled 77' has begun
So I've finally decided to fit my own inter-cooler to my 77'. My tail is similar to my stock 77' tail, but without the condenser grill. So far I have just trimmed about a 1/2 of fiberglass from the bottom edge were the grille mounts.
I'm going to either raise the grill or make a new one. I'm still going to use the stock re-circulating system. Basically I'm routing from the turbo to the top left of the intercooler then from the bottom right of the intercooler back to the original re-circ intake. Also this requires removal of the stock intake and using the K&N cone filter. I will update as I progress. Here's some pics. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

It sounds like a plan, what about the waste gate, overboost sensor, and BOV connections? What type of hardware/hoses/supports you're planning on using?
Good luck! |

Wastegate is already a Tial with dump pipe. Everything else will be stock. Will be using a combination of aluminum piping and silicone hoses to route from turbo to top left of intercooler and from bottom right back to stock Bypass valve.
