Eddie Bello TT Motor
Anyone know Juan Ruiz or Eddie Bello contact info?. E Bello supposedly built a TT motor for a customer who has since passed away and the build records were not included in his estate. . Dawes Motorsport, who worked on it ( mentioned they thought it was a Bello build ) to get it running again in mid 2009 so it must have been built many years before that.Would be nice to get the info on the build. Dawes Motorsport, says it is crazy HP for a street car. I remember the car Eddie Bello built for himself, and discussed on this forum, as a monster performer @ Texas mile and the 1/4 mile runs. Here are some photos after installed. Hopefully he can verify if it is his build and has the build info. Thanks

I recently took it to C.S. Motorsports for suspension set up. One of the Mode suspension pieces was siezed. When they called Bob Holcombe @ Mode he said he had not built the part we needed for nearly 20 years ( great news as I really like vintage TT builds ) however he still had one in inventory, what good luck. So now wondering how long ago the motor was built as Dawes racing shop got it in to get it running however no records of any kind. Dawes worked on it 3 years ago and thought Eddie Bello built the motor for the fellow that passed away years before the Dawes shop worked on it in 1999 for the new owner . Eddie/Juan/ or anyone with their contact info?

It should be I had the opportunity to spend some time talking to Eddie a couple years ago at a car show. Very decent knowledgeable guy. Doesn't waste money on exotic parts when they are not needed and stock will do. And when they are needed always uses the best available. Also does a lot of things you don't usually see like building his own intake manifolds, Putting a shroud on the fan for better air flow though the inter-cooler etc.

Yes, as in the photos i posted, lots of special fabrication were done to this one, 12 injector intake etc. Would be nice to know the whole story of the build. It is a later base motor maybe 3.6 inside? only whomever built it knows for sure.

Cool car.
What is the deal with the wiper coming through the rear glass? Isn't it usually part of the tail? |

I am told that this wiper set up is used on later Porsche models? Which ones I would like to know also as no records came with the car.

It has evolved a long way in almost all respects over the years. The 964 wiper set up also allows for more intercooler space. Thanks for the info.

I can confirm that is NOT an Eddie Bello motor.
Ralph at DRT built it.

Any idea of contact info for Ralph @ DRT. Hopefully he still has the build info. And thank you for this info to set the record straight. I have TT motor cars built by others, Jarvis, Norwood, Kremer, Kasper@ Imagine Auto, but they have documents, dyno sheets etc from day one. So I really do not like to repeat what I may have heard, without records, hence the inquiry from members on this forum. Again I really appreciate your validation( although disappointed) that Eddie Bello did not build it.
