mine is the opposite my girlfriend gets frozen while i sweat. most of the airflow in mine comes out the passenger side. but all you have to do is close off the vents some it will push the air through the others.

hmm all my a/c comes through the center vent in the dash and the small little vents on the sides that rotate. i don't touch any of the control on the dash, just turn on the fan and the temp control dial.

I would run out to the garage and check but its getting some work sone right now. but yes i believe all the way clockwise. you can actually feel a detent in the switch when you are turning it. i would think that maybe you are moving the control on the dash and its diverting air? i leave mine all the way to the left. i do have a auto control on the heater i wonder if that makes a difference?
