Boring 930?

Hi guys,

Just wondering if any of you have bored out your 97mm barrels to 98mm and slipped in some 8.0:1 aftermarket forged pistons?

Is this possible, and is it a worthwhile upgrade for a street TT'd motor?

Boost will be limited to 1.0bar.

Thanks in advance

I would suggest you email one of the many contributors to this site, such as Steve Weiner, Mbraun, Supertec, or EBS Racing. Consult with the party that will be supplying BOTH the pistons and rebored/plated cylinders TOGETHER. That way they can match the the pistons to cylinders for optimum fitment.
IMHO, a bore out to 98mm w/replating is doable, particularly in a street engine. I take it that you will be changing cams along the way?

Interesting! Can you let us know who did this for you and the costs? Haven't heard of that, would be a nice 3.4 rebuild option for me...

Don at EBS took care of this for me...I believe it was about ~$1400 USD plus pistons.
