Modular K27 turbocharger

Ta da! The all-new modular K27 turbocharger! Why settle for an old-fashioned 1-piece turbo?

The ultimate companion to 2-piece cylinders (Ultimate 930 Dyno Thread!) and 48-piece piston rings (fixing broken piston rings)!

All joking aside, quite possibly the most destroyed turbocharger we've gotten back from a client.

Looks like someone skipped high school chemistry and didn't understand the difference between wet nitrous and wet nitro(glycerin).

What a wreck... what type of impact caused that damage?

My guess, is a turbo overspeed and/or imbalance problem caused the shaft to shear, letting the impeller bounce a few times then cock sideways where it blew everything apart.

Love carnage pics!

Send a message via Yahoo to full quack
I bet it was loud when it let go...I'm guessing the cold side impeller is still on it's way to Baltimore....

Well at least the "O" rings still look ok
