Oil catch can

I want to get rid of the OEM air filter. I have bought a K&N filter to put into its place as well as an oil catch can. I plan on connecting the big breather hose from the oil tank and the overflow from the WUR to this can. Is this a good or a bad idea? Anything to watch out for?

This is the can I've bought: Universal ALUMINUM ROUND ENGINE OIL CATCH RESERVIOR CAN/TANK+ BLUE AIR BREATHER | eBay

Thanks.

The main problem that others have posted about is that if the tank is vented into the engine bay the oily fumes/smell becomes overwhelming (particularly if you use the cabin heat) as the engine fan blows the oil vapor all over the place. I have read that many people end up attaching a hose to the tank's vent and running the house out of the engine bay . . .

That should work fine. I have a similar set up and I added a petcock through
the side of the can at the bottom. I added a drain hose so if the site glass
starts getting high I can drain it off.

Hey Ronnie, hope your doing well bud !!!!!

Do you have a link to the other threads about this? And maybe pictures of your setup?
Thanks.
