Fuse blowing! Power Windows

Hey electrical gods here is my trouble. Working on a 1987 930 slantnose and the #1 fuse keeps poping. This controls the sunroof, power seats and power windows. It's a 1987 so there is a power window control module but the #5 fuse off it is working. Power seats are both working but no sunroof or power windows. If I put a meter on the two points the fuse gos in I get 12.4v and no amps if that helps. As soon as I put a 25amp fuse in it pops. Good mechanically but not the best at electrical if anyone can help.

My guess... The wires on the drivers side power window switch are connected incorrectly.

I changed nothing and everything was working perfect till one morning!
I also disconected that harness and same thing so it's not that.

You need to check the wiring from the relay to the switches. They are old and probably have a short now.

Having trouble figuring which relay this is. Anyone know or have a picture?

I wasn't sure if in 87 they had the block connector on the window switches or a bunch of spade connectors. My 77 had this same problem when I bought it and it was improperly installed spade connectors.

The relays are labeled in your fuse block.

Hard to follow between the 2 thread but...

From 35 years of Fault Finding, 95% of the time there is something that change but goes unnoticed... Until the problem is found and the relation make sense.

Where was the car left last night? If outside, did it rain?

ok got it fixed.
ended up being a faulty window switch and the spare that I switched out was also faulty. After testing it with a meter I used my back up back up spare. lol
