Need 1 euro injector

I got curious and ended up destroying the tip on 1 of my injectors . I just want to get my engine running for the first time to check the condition.

Anybody have a spare 1euro injector they would sell.

Email me your address and I'll send you a good used one. I no longer clean or re-use them as the effects are short lived.

Brian to the Rescue really appreciate it, thats going to help me get this thing running and I am happy to pay for it and cover shipping.
Sending you a email.

I am wondering why cleaned and tested injectors are not lasting

I found after cleaning injectors they would act better for a short time and then return to poor spray patterns. Disection showed worn out parts inside the injector and particles of crud hidden that could break loose and create new issues. Most were internally rusted, which I am guessing is from EtOH in the fuel that mixes with water. Replacing the old injectors with new is very expensive but will show a significant improvement in tune type performance (start-up, idle, crisp throttle response and shut down).
I'll get your injector out Monday morning.

Brian,

Thanks again for your help, really appreciated. I'll let you know when the injector arrives. Any chance you have a picture of the sectioned injector?

I would consider cutting my damaged injector in half but do not have a tool that could cleanly do this.

Injector went out yesterday via USPS. I threw in a set of copper washers as you should change those out as well to prevent leaks. PITA to get to if the old washers don't seal well.

Didn't take any pictures but I have seen a few here on Pelican so a search may find a nice disection. Crud builds up and the spring can rust up and fails eventually. I think ten years is about the useful life of an injector before they begin to fall out of spec. Most are now 20+ years old so you can just imagine the shape they're in.

Brian,

Just wanted to thank you again, I got the injector last week but only had a chance over the weekend to install it. Really appreciate how quickly you shipped it out. Again, I would be happy to send payment for shipping and injector.

My pleasure. You don't owe me anything, I can't see charging for something used with unknown life expectancy. Hope it hangs in there and works for you.
