coil fried..wtb

the 930 stranded me (no start) last weekend and I got the flat bed cab ride back home. i pulled the coil and checked resistance: .8 ohms on the primary side and 724 ohms on the secondary side. hopefully this is the issue. can i pull the coil of my 88 911 and put it on the 930 to see if it will start? what coil should i buy as a replacement? the reviews on the bosh/brazil made coil our host has are not positive. another site has a permatune for ~$130. any suggestions?

Permatune coil with the permatune box. Pricey, but you'll never be stranded again, been there/done dat!

I have 2 coils that are original bosch they are old but both work. Before I made the switch to EDIS I was troubleshooting a starting problem I tested and installed both coils and they both worked it turned out to be wiring I will let you have both of them cheap. PM me and we can come to a price.

Switch to edis / megajolt. You will not regret it.

The only problem with the Bosch coils is mid-application. Do not use the inductive coil from the DME system. Use the coil for the CDI system. The CDI coil has less windings and lower resistance than the inductive coil.

i picked up a used bosh coil w/ the exact same part number as mine from someone local to me who was upgrading to an MSD coil and box. the resistance on that coil is where it should be. now just waiting for the new beru plug wires and bosh plugs/cap/rotor to arrive. I appreciate everyone offering to sell me there bosh coils whoa also upgraded. i may pick up a spare after i get this back running.
