Carbon credits...or how to blow them out
It's always nice to relate a Pelican member to his/her car, via video. I hate to admit it, but today is the first time this year I've had her out! Just too much other crap driving my life and taking up my time.
Here's a scabbed-together video which will consume 4'30" of your time. Nothing noteworthy, and actually pretty crude. The first couple sections had the camera rubber banded to my forehead (people were giving me funny looks until I got outa town), and the last couple had it mounted to the dash with double sticky-back tape (bad location, looking through the wipers). Need to find a better means of mounting the camera. The first run was full out 1st 2nd 3rd .8bar boost up to 5800 rpms. At 100 part way through 3rd I decided "oh shiiit" to throttle her down (bad roads don't work well with high speeds and old suspension...live to drive another day). The rest of the runs were "spirited" but within the confines of the road and traffic conditions. Anyway, this is where I live and ride. Desert wasteland, pleistocine basalt cliffs along prehistoric lakes, boring stuff like that but GREAT ROADS for blowing out the carbon!!! Just blowin' out the carbon.... - YouTube

Thanks for sharing! You do have "great roads for blowing out the carbon." When I have fun like that, I have one of two cars following me: a cop or someone trying to race me.

Hey Mark, you sure do have nice roads and scenery there.
I'd be embarresed to video the boring flat roads without curves loaded with traffic down here. Most of the curves around here are on the beach. It is nice to see videos like yours to see the person we sorta know from the forum. Car sounds and looks nice! |

Sorry guys, I screwed up whilst cleaning out my YouTube files and accidentally deleted the thing! My bad...I'll see if I can resurrect it.
