mysterious oil leak

Hey guys, this leak is killing me, not to mention the mess it's making of my new build. The oil is puddling around the turbo oil feed/check valve, and running down the back of the motor. A short 1/2 hour drive makes a real mess. So far I have changed the gasket at the vent housing, installed new hose and clamps at the vent housing pipe, new crush washers in the turbo feed oil assembly. The only other thing that can be leaking on top of the motor that I haven't changed is the T stat gasket, but that was replaced with last winters new build. Any ideas? Philip

Phillip, as always pictures would be helpfull.

I discovered something similar a while ago.
What I found was a very hard hose at the vent housing.
Additionally the tube connected here has no bead ( if thats the word?)
on this side. With bead it would seal much better.
But I do not think that could be reason for a big mess after 1/2 hour.

Falk

Is it the oil sender back there? If over tightened they can leak too.

cranckcase vent

Falk, I changed the hose and clamps. No seepage from the sender unit. I cant see where the oil is leaking from is whats confusing. I think I may have to have a look at the o ring on the t-stat. Philip

Me too, you sure it's not the oil cooler seals or a leaky rocker shaft? Do you know it's from that area for sure?
