My first 930 was that color, fantastic. It was a 1979 from one of the auctions in Monterey in the early 90s and the guy who owned it looked exactly like Goldfinger in the James Bond movie. I did not go looking for a 930 but the color did it and I really got into the drive back to WI thru the mountains. After that there was little else to be interested in driving.

Looks real good Patrick. Put the stone guards on. How did the 1 bar spring work out for you.

Very nice. Its hard to knock an original car in great condition, again, very nice. Any pics of the interior?

i like the contrast of the black stone guards but they tend to visually absorb the beautiful abruptness of the rear fender fatness

I went with the magnetic stone guards---cant remember the source but he had posted here on Pelican. Work great--look good. Only difference is they are smooth and not grain finished. Use them about 50% of the time as I couldn't make my mind up as well.

Good looking car, but it'd be better with the stone guards - the way it came out of the box!

If you drive the car without the easy to stick on stonegaurds then it's just a matter of time before that area is peppered with stone chips down to primer and metal and that'll really suck.

It's not a perfect match, the car has been painted.

Thanks for pointing that out.

I would get a magnetic sheet and do some cutouts or go to these guys.

Maybe they can make it. I used them for my front. So far so good.

Get the dimensions and e-mail them.

Thanks Linc! I am a new member here but I have thoroughly enjoyed reading every detail about the journey you have been through with your car. Thanks so much for posting it, I know it must have been difficult... really provides insight for the rest of us!

Can't wait to see pictures of yours in action when you get it in a couple of weeks.

Didn't mean to sound derogatory, was just wondering if it was the light..... You can always get the paint sorted

What color? I have seen a gorgeous blue one around here... I believe it's Marine blue with Linen interior. Looks like it's got some serious goodies.

A PM would have been sufficient.
