If you going to paint them yourself, black trim paint woul give you the right gloss/look. To do it correctly if it were me. I would remove the tires and have them professionally powder coated. The surface would be much stronger against the elements.

my white cab has white painted fuchs, but the 930 has full black. Full black would definatly help hide brake dust.

I've had my 930 since 85. When the slants came out I almost pulled the trigger numerous times on getting a conversion done in metal. Most of those cars had the polished Fuchs at the time. So in a way it's a time piece and I sure don't recall painted centers back then be they factory or aftermarket. I'd stay with what you have. They look good.
