Advice - Innovate Auxbox or SSI-4??
I was about to buy the Innovate LMA-3 (Auxbox) for logging Boost, RPM, AFR as I already have the MTX-L AFR unit.
Innovate sales recommended going with the new PL-1 and a SSI-4. Advantage is it would log data to a SD card instead of having to hook up my laptop. Plus it nets out to approx. $30 less. Downside, I would need to add MAP separately and not sure if the stock 930 boost sensor will work or is accurate enough. Plus I lose the accelerometers of the Auxbox. Thoughts or comments from experience would be great. Thx. |

Tell us a little bit more about the purpose for the data logging.
Having an SD card is a real plus. A laptop makes it tempting to try to fiddle around with it when driving, which is not good. I have an SD card, drive around to collect data, analyze it on the laptop, make changes, and repeat. Unfortunately, needing the MAP will more than erase the financial advantage. The accelerometer is useful in that you can get better estimates of HP/Torque using the data. Once you tell us what you are looking to get out of it we can hopefully be more helpful.

I need Map, RPM and AFR to adjust my BL WUR to get enough full under boost. I rebuilt the engine last year due to the previous owner not addressing fuel when putting on a bigger turbo, etc. and have only broke it in so far. I dont want to really push on boost until the fueling is correct. I need this data in order to adjust with confidence.
