I am thinking the kidney bean window and square doors must have been a special-wishes options. Might only be a handful of these in the world! .

Sweet looking ride, make sure you keep it quiet or someone else could sneak in and snap it up first :-p

PERFECT candidate for a 24hrs of Lemons race. Although it looks like some sort of wide fuchs are included. If genuine I am sure they are the entirety of the cars value

It does look like it might have been pretty cool when first built. Pretty rough in those pics but definitely took some imagination and craftsmanship to pull that off. Cool car!!!

I am amazed at how much time people have on there hands, or maybe I should be amazed at how people choose to spend there time.
I would park that in a local Pelicans drivway while he was out of town for a while.

I don't think it's real. Look at the exposed door hinges. Those totally give it away.

Oddly though, the one thing 959 replicas typically get wrong (headlights and front signals) look spot on on this car. I mean, they look pretty darn correct.

Take care!

I read your post this morning, shortly after eating breakfast. Big mistake...made me feel bulimic. Almost disgorged my meal.

But, I bet that thing turns heads (for the wrong reasons) and positively hauls ass with it's 36 hp NA engine.

I'll say this, though. Some outfit actually made a 959 kit for a V-dub?! Or someone with a lot of talent and a misplaced set of priorities did a good job of an unquestionable mockery.

Stuff a 930 engine in there and she becomes a wolf in sheep's clothing.

Mark, your mistaken. You see, this has far more than 36 Hp. It was the twin turbo version!

Thanks for the tip, as the shape, etc. is so spot on it's good to know there's a dead giveaway.

Well by seeing the gas tank filler door, it started life at least as a '68, so closer to 45-48hp 1500cc.
Should just scream with the newly found aerodynamics!

And as the other Mark says....white is the fastest color
