recirc valve seals

Any one know what they are made of. may try making a couple.
I could order from Pelican (and may do). But timewise it would be helpful if I could make a couple now. Just ordered some stuff from pelican this morning. Bugger. Maybe they would have consolidated shipping. $40 shipping on a $10 part. Aagh.
Thanks
Alan

Hi Alan

You mean the two 93011014900 right?

I know that in the 80's it was different that nowadays as I replaced mine in 2000. The new part was (and still is looking at pictures now) some kind of soft Nylon. But I guess it does not matter that much as long it is resistant to fuel/oil and withstands the hits of the piston (for this reason I guess Nylon).

Did you try a P car dealer? For small stuff I start there and sometimes get lucky. Having an enthusiast at the Parts counter helps.

Thx Roland. I think also it needs to seal reasonably well also.
DC66 - chances of finding any in this country are near nil. You could count the number of 930s on your fingers. But I will give it a shot anyway.
Thanks guys
Alan

Hi Mark. Believe it or not - I found some - in my shed.
My memory ain't what it used to be, but it is a while since I used the stock IC. Changed to a 965 one ages ago, and ditched the recirc valve. Been fitting the stock system back in (:-( ) for some racing coming up shortly.
Regards
Alan
