Bosch Fuel Pressure Damper - 0 280 161 007
Guys, I have asked what this part is for in the past and got that it is used to smooth our the fuel pressure in between full throttle shifts. I got the part number off the unit and want to understand it better.
The pics on the net show an adjustment screw on the top, but on my unit has a vaccum line to the tee off the throttle body to see boost. Does this make sense. Also want to find out the specs for the fuel fittings, i need to replace the fuel line from this unit to the WUR. ![]() Part #0 280 161 007, also see pic. ![]() |

I'm also about to buy a new one for my Carrera intake onto the 964T EFI...can't tell you much over and above what you've already gleaned, but I do know the fittings are M16...have just bought my fittings along with new hoses. I'm not re-using the original fuel lines and swaged fittings, I'm starting afresh with new hoses and metric couplings to the rails/FPR/Dampener + JIC (-6AN) fittings for the "T" connection.
HTH, Spencer.
