dyno tune problem
We went to dyno tune a 10+ year old Electromotive TEC-1 mngt system with 2.06 Eprom and Wintec sofrware upgrades. My dyno tech ( not familiar with Electromotive ) says it needs a password to get in. They called Electromotive and they said they were made that way and no answer other than get a new one. WTF?
I have heard in the past there is a way to bypass this password. Anyone know how or know insider @ Electromotive for info? The motor is an old 3.3 twin turbo Jarvis build with SC cams (see dyno sheet). Now rebuilt to 3.4 W/Cirillo rods and EVO gt 2 cams which develop HP @ much Higher RPM. My shop says probably another 100HP once timing & fuel is right and boost raised from 11 to 16psi. Would be nice to get it there. Any info appreciated. Anyone know Chad Austin Spring hill / Clearwater area FL? Would be nice to get a password when you buy a $$$ built motor.. Lost track of him after I bought it Nov 2007. http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1354549575.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1354549590.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1354550271.jpg |
maybe there's a firmware hack somewhere on a different type car forum that deletes the stoopid password.

Have you spoken to Clewett? They deal with Electromotive and may be able to help.
