It won't sell for that money, high fifties is realistic. It is however the last of the turbo cabs and a slant as well (89) brings more $$$ but not everyone is into the slant thing.

Only 28 SN turbo cabriolets were made for USA delivery in 1989. As the last year of the 930, and last year of the air cooled turbo cabriolets only 3 years of production. No turbo convertibles for over 12 years after. What does it take to get Porsche affection-ados exited? Read how the slant was styled in commemoration of the 935 and heralded by Porsches highest level people. Lastly it is essentially coach built. My My you will all wish you had got one when you had the chance just like all the wanna bees i hear lamenting ( practically self flagellating ) about how they missed out on that special car they had the chance to get 20-40 years ago as they watch it go by at a show or auction. Unattractive? I don't think so. I've already got mine. That leaves 27 left out there. My 2 cents of unsolicited opinion. No affiliation to the seller

Yikes! No one says it is unattractive, it is just that not everyone gets it.

Two things IMO, always leave the head lights on - so much better looking that way - and get rid of the Dakar stance.

I am a slant fan, but I have a feeling there aren't a lot of us. As for the price it is a little ambitious. Maybe they are just trying to create a new baseline for values.

If all is right with that car then somewhere in the fifties would be the right price. Slants are an acquired taste. Personally I love the look. IMO they will start to increase in value as time moves forward. The slants have a certain character that make them unique. Not many of them around(as opposed to the bug eye look). There is set price with a "make an offer option".

On the last pic....is that a pic from Sloan's site?

Some do, just look at a previous post. My perspective is that they are a special model that many will wish they had pulled the trigger as years go by. Also the slant style was inspired ( as a tribute to be street driven) ) by the famous 935 and as such will help become more desirable as future collectors read up on the 930 development . As an example there are some Ferrari models that are way into the 7 figures that i think are not so attractive as more produced less expensive styles. So it will most likely be with the limited production slants, especially as the only year of the 5spd and the last air cooled cabriolet of only a 3 year production run of which only 28 1989 slant cabriolets were made for US delivery. Just sayin it should be a good time to get one. In the original post he thought it to be his favorite. Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. Price seems reasonable as I have sold excellent non slant 89 cabriolet for not much less. Also the SN style does have aerodynamic advantages. In the best Greman tradition "beauty follows function" just as in years past with the " bug eye look " of the earlier Porsche design that became except able and beautiful to most.

I gotta say, I'm with Tony on this one . The facts & stats are out there, besides not being a "run of the mill 930" they are indeed the last of the breed for air cooled cabs ! It is in so many forms virtu'

Ummmm, make that 26 left out there. Triple black 89, all stock except for the stereo.

Although it appears to be an aquried taste for some, I love the slant nose cars.. not so much in a cab as a coupe, but enoguh to have owned four of them. A non-Turbo 78 DP Targa, a euro special wishes 930, a 77 930 with a slant nose coversion, and my current 78 930 with Alan Johnson conversion using factory fenders.

Hey Bro, here is my Alan Johnson slant nose 1979 930. I've owned it for over a decade so I do like slants also. Alan Johnson was involved with factory race cars so he could get the real factory parts. To some they are almost considered original if built by him

I've been fortunate to have had some myself over the years and have tried to keep some of them. www.voitureltd.com

Man, there is something about a Yellow 911.... sweet ride sir!

The Slant Nose car is most definitely an aquired taste, and to some, it almost gets away from what some 911 purists want. I myself, love them. They have that special sport/supercar look.... At first glance many people don't know what they are... but they know, whatever it is... it's coming up fast!!

81Kremer930....Thanks, yellow is nice. This Porsche Kremer street 935 was built in 1984 . Primarily Kremer built some of the most successful 935 race cars with factory support after Porsche ceased the factory 935 race car production in 1978. The slant nose cars, for street use were a styling tribute to the 935 race cars that competed in groupe 5 for many years. go to www.VoitureLTD for more info on this Kremer slant.

I too have owned mine almost that long.. I was smart enough to moth-ball it away while I played with several other cars over that period of time. I am both fortunate and to still have this car as I too have aleways liked the slant nose cars, from race to road going.

Tony, I have watched your site off/on for years, and you have come across quite a few.. and I have noticed that certain ones just seem to "hang around" if you will!
