Burned me fingees

I have the oil change down so well but got to the part where you yank the engine drain plug… i wasnt fast enough, fingers covered in hot oil and i wimped out let out an eeek! and dropped it into the catch tray.

After hundreds of oil changes on lost of vehicles, I still manage that stuff up near every time. And of course I always promise myself it won't happen this time - cause I am extra careful.
Must be something genetic.

How many times over the years have I told myself: "Self, this time not a drop spilled". That's what's called a pipe dream, i.e., opium smokers from times long gone.
Advice: Wait at least an hour before draining der oil. Let it cool somewhat, prevents plastic surgery to repair sautéed forearms.

Nope, no way. Its like when you're picking or trimming blackberries you got to wear open toed shoes. Its the rule.

And oil wasn't that hot, wasn't scalding. Just got all over my silky hand so I dropped the plug-o in the oil-o.

I just needed a gentle reminder. Next time for sure I'll get it perfect.
