Here are a few pixs of my Euro '76 930. The car was sold to a dealer in Amsterdam and then a diplomat brought the car into the US. It never had any DOT/EPA "Grey Market" things done. It then sat in a garage in Manhattan for a very long time. The guy I bought it from found the car in NYC and brought it to MA in 1995. He had wishful dreams of restoring it, but never touched the car. I bought it in 1996 and have fully restored the car.

Sand Man,

I noticed your quote. I used to live right next door to Mark Sandman's mom in Newton, MA. Been listening to Morphine for many years. Was sad when he passed.

Agreed. Very sad. From the moment I heard their first album I was addicted (no puns). I'm a complete music lover, and NOTHING has ever moved me as much. Their sound is the sound I feel inside. Saw them several times live and perhaps my biggest regret is that I didn't see them enough. The story of the Sandman family is also very sad, as I think all the kids, but one (the daughter) have died. His Mom, Guitelle, wrote a book, "Four Minus Three" about their family.

great cars guys!! keep the pictures coming.

question: to the owners of modified 76 and 77 cars...at what point do you consider bringing them back to a full stock configuration due to escalating valuations?

just curious if that enters the discussion?

Gorgeous car, Henry - looooove that blue.

Where in MA you at? I'm 25mi from the Pike here in CT, be cool to meet sometime (cough turboPALOOZA July in PA!).

Peteski... if it were me and I had something significant - say like Henry's '76 for example... I probably would make subtle "return to stock-ish" changes to bring it more 'correct', despite my love for modded cars. I'd probably find a more Fuchs-esque wheel, go back to flag mirrors, and source the correct tail... but that's just me and only b/c it's a '76

On the topic of returning to stock/OEM I think I am to far down the road. Although I am aware of the ridiculous prices being asked for some 930/911's these days I have never given thought to "what if" I sold the beast. Not there yet. Then again after some work sessions where I am totally pissed off because the current project is not going according to plan (new carpets now!!!) the idea has crossed my mind. Yikes did I really say that??
