Porsche Crest WANTED Porsche 930/935 LED Turbo Boost Gauge

Hello to All from London, UK.

I`m very new to the forum, and I`ve heard its the in place to find the rarer Porsche parts.

I`m looking for both types of Turbo Boost gauge one is the standard type which I want to put into my narrow bodied Turbo / daily driver 911
and the other is a LED Turbo boost gauge for the Slant nose 930

I`ve been looking for the Porsche 930/935 Turbo Boost Gauges for a number of years now, but they have illuded me.

I know they made 2 types of LED Boost Gauge, one for the Race cars and one for the special request road cars, and I know both are very hard to come by, but I`ve have a lot of trouble seeing my little Turbo boost gauge in my 930 Turbo SE.

Standard Dial Porsche VDO 930.641.303.01 Turbo boost gauge

Porsche VDO Ladedruck LED Turbo boost gauge. PT No. 935.641.503.00

I would be please to hear from anyone who can help me either locate one or purchase one from them.

Best regards
The Angry Elf

I have also attached a photo of what I`m looking for to give some idea

That one may not be the road one with the boost going red @ 1.6. This is early turbo car so not right for the later slant nose either.

You seem to share the inability to spell a certain word as someone else who has been posting on multiple forums here looking for exactly the same part(s). And it's not a Brit/US difference.

These gauges are pretty rare, and you'll have to be quick/lucky to get one if it ever comes up for sale.

Best option is probably to commission NHS or similar to build you a replica. They're really not very expensive for custom gauges (I had a conversation with them on that exact topic last week).

WOW!, that looks an intresting gauge. thats what I`m after alright, its just finding one. I know they are very rare indeed but I need at least 2 of them, if not one LED one normal type gauge. as they will be going in two different cars. one of my cars has a 1 BAR boost spring in it so that type will be perfect.

Sorry Spuggy, My spelling is crap at the best of times, comes with the job of engineering I`m told. also the Brit/US divide doesn`t help matters....I also have a freind who is looking on this site too for the parts, it may be him you have been speaking with, as he is also looking for me.
I have seen the NHS gauges, and I will only use them as a last resort if I can`t find a VDO original, so until then I will keep hunting......Thank you for the reply anyway. regards TAE...

Nope, just the one in the 1st photos which is of my 1977 Turbo Carrera " SC" and one in a 83 Kremer which is original for the car. Good luck with finding one. I would check with Porsche racing as they might have a unsold one from the 70-80s.

There's one listed in the pelican classified, and the same one also listed on ebay. I thought they needed a sender?

Does anyone have pictures of the inside of one of these Digital boost gauges. Seems like it would not be that hard to make.

Does not look hard to get 10 LED's to display boost. Let me poke around and see how to get 20 to display.

Finding the gauge is easy the sending unit not so much. I run both in my 935's but I find the digital ones fail frequently and that is why in the 80's and early 90's they were everywhere for sale

I bought a factory LED boost gauge years ago that came out of a 935 that raced and finished at LeMans in 1979.

I was really excited that I got one until I realized after the fact that it did not have a sending unit with it. That proved to be extremely difficult to find. I eventually sold it because I was unable to make it work properly. To this day I would still pay good money for a factory LED boost gauge but it would have to be complete.
