What wheels for my slant
Right now I have a original set of Ruf/speedline wheels that I purchased in the mid 80's. Brand new Toyo tires mounted on refreshed wheels. The wheels were thoroughly cleaned - polished front lip and complete polished rear lip and rim. Paint is original and never touched up or repainted. 17 x 8s and 17 x 10s wheels
Any interest in these wheels with the tires. I am thinking of going 18s and wider on the rears. Some of the Fiske and Kinesis wheels look great. Or should I go with the 17" Lindsey fuch replicas? ![]() ![]() ![]()

I'd keep those, it's a classic look.

If you're OK with the sizing and weight, I'd stick with the Rufs. I think they look fantastic. Aesthetically I don't think Fikses or Kineses are going to look better. Fuchs would be a toss-up.

Here is a non slant with 18 Fikse's, hopefully a slant soon. Personally like the 17" Fuchs, deep dish of course!

I have had Tru Design Fuchs and factory Fuchs on my car. I had some Jim Dorociak Speedlines done and am extremely happy.
Check out my thread: Got some Jim Dorociak Goodness

Another option
I had these. I have always loved this look. I have put them on two cars of mine...
These were both RH-Wheels and great quality. Not the lightest wheel but look great. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

I'm somewhat in the same boat. I would like to return to the classic Fuchs, but in a 17" wheel size. The Zuffenhausen/Fikse would be the only ones I would consider, but with prices starting at $4500 a set (9's & 11's), there are places on the car that could use that kind of attention more. Anyway, here is my sonderwunsch with 17" Fikse FM-5's. If I had to do it over again, I would have had ordered the centers satin black or anodized. Want to trade? ![]() ![]()

Nice Dave!
I also send a pm to pkracer about D-zug wheels. Concerned about the black on black - the wheels are completely black - maybe with a polished rim and black centers would stand out alittle better. We'll see I guess. Would need to sell the Rufs first

Are you going for aesthetics? Or is there a performance upgrade you're trying to achieve? Or both? What are you trying to achieve? And how much are you willing to spend?
If just for looks, IMO the three best options are: Fuchs, Rufs, or 3.6 Speedlines. Actually, the RH replicas of the 3.6 Speedlines will actually look better than the stock Speedlines themselves, as they'll have deeper dish. I'm not as keen on other wheel designs, though every once in awhile someone on this board presents something that knocks my socks off. Full Quack's got a car that looks fantastic. Someone else has a car with Forgelines that looks the business. Couple others escape my memory right now. The D-Zug 935 wheels look great, but are totally out of my price range. For the Fuchs look, you can stick with stock 6" wheels (for which tires are increasingly hard to find, though I think Toyo is making 245/45/16s, still. So a lot of people upgrade to 17" Fuchs replicas. But tire sizing is slowly dwindling for that, too (depending on how wide you're looking to run). For 17" Fuchs, you're looking at Lindsay/TruDesign/Zuffenhaus; custom wheels with custom pricing. Those wheels will be lightweight, too. But you pay for that. Not sure, but the cast Linea Corsa/Rota wheels and Euromeister wheels may fit, too. Those are a lot cheaper, if heavier.
