Ruf Wheels & New Pics!!

Weather too nice to pass up. So, washed the car and took some pics with the new wheels and tires. 245/40's and 275/40's.

I'd really like to know if I should pull the front wheels out about 3/4". I think have room, but would have to get 1.5" spacers... Any thoughts on this?

Cool - are your rims 8 and 10"? If so I've got the same rims with 235s and 255s - since it's time for new rubber I'm wondering if i should go wider.

Yes, 8" & 10" - - I'd just like to pull the front wheel out a bit...

Ruf 930 fitment was 9's and 10's. Probably why they don't come out quite far enough...

'Bout time I took the winter wear Cup replicas/Blizzaks off and put the Ruf's back on. Oh, and washed the car, too

Looks great.
Have you put someone in the passenger seat then driven on rough roads to know if the backs rub? Appears really tight there.

I used hr 1.25" spacers on the front, 1.5" was too much.
Looks nice!

Nothing like RUF wheels on a slant nose. Great job!

So, if I get the larger spacer, I figure I'd need to get some new shorter studs. How hard is it to change the front studs on the '79 floating roters? I figure I'd save the originals, and would just get some new ones. Is there a brand or material that is preferred for studs?

Thanks!!

Those are just like the hr I used. Your stock studs can stay.

I haven't measured my bare studs yet, but you're saying they're less than 1.5" in length with the stock spacers removed?

I don't think those bolt-up spacers are sanctioned for track use? That must mean something.

I used overlength studs and hubcentric spacers like the factory did, when i was running wheels that needed the ET adjusting. Oh, and steel lug nuts. YMMV.
