That is their collector? Three pipes dumping into a empty space?

Rowdy. Racaus and LOUD!

Yes, that is the "merge". I would not call it a collector. NOt as nice as yours.

Funnel, collector... 210,220 what ever it takes.

Agree with Jpnovak, yours are so much nicer. I may have to consider a set of yours. Do you have a "clearance rack"?

If it were me, I'd just replace panel. Not a difficult repair.

That's what I'll end up doing with the help of some other Pelicanites.

Be very careful.

One tiny piece of slag inside = one impeller broken/nicked [same difference] and you get to buy a new turbocharger shortly afterwards.

Ask how I know... sigh.

Wow! Not the best design.
Maybe a good time to consider a set of headers that will flow properly.
RarleyL8 makes some great ones. Mode are great if money is no object.
B&B work well even though the design is a bit old.
I'm sure I'm leaving out others but anything must be better then those!

You seem to have gotten one of the earlier, nicer sets. Many years ago I saw this same brand with those plates with 3 hand, plasma cut holes, smaller than the primary tubes! Are there any other fractures around the heat exchangers? Do you use your heat? Hence the term "death headers". Every box they shipped had a Made In America sticker..for shame!!

They are not worth patching..renew the set with something with more integrity!!

Yes, there are other cracks on some of the other welds. A friend is going to help weld up and pressure test. I would love to get new/different headers, but they aren't cheap.

There is a reason I drive with the windows cracked in the winter. I did use them for heat and they did deliver a lot of heat. Unfortunately, I could smell some exhaust. Hopefully the repair work will fix the problem. We'll see.

I do like the heater boxes on the ones that Chris offers.

I have to admit, I was skeptical that, that was actually a collector but what else could it be? Reason why is, 1) why that design(?!?!) and 2) there appears to be no carbon buildup in those primaries throwing me off.
