K27HF vs K29?

I acquired a K29 turbo that all the tolerances check out both end and radial. So a couple questions,

Is there a difference between the two?
What is the difference?

I am running CIS and SC cams would it be worth swapping them out? I have to pull the headers at the time anyway and the thought occurred to me.

Thanks,
John

The HFS is a K27 7200 with a large heavy Holset compressor wheel fitted on it and cold side housing to fit over the Holset wheel that was not made by 3K Borg Warner.
They come with a 270 degree thrust bearing that can leak oil into the compressor housing if the air cleaner is too small or dirty and restrictive causing too much vacuum in the air intake before the turbo. Upgrading to a 360 degree thrust bearing is a huge improvement and reduces the chances of a K27 high flow smoke turbo.

I don't know all the differences in it and a K29, but the compressor wheel on a K29 is not a Holset wheel and I think the turbine side is larger than a K27 7200 or a K27 7006.

If you want accurate answers and the best turbo rebuild possible in the USA call Durabilt turbo http://www.durabilt-turbo.com/ and ask them.
