New Muffler installed

Hi,

Thought I'd share some info on my Muffler swap I did this weekend.

I used to have a Swedish Hand Built 930 muffler with a 3.5" pipe. A 930 friend of mine had come across a muffler last week that is well known in Sweden for tuned 930's. This muffler has a 3" pipe and tuners often rebuild them to 3.5", but the base of the muffler is very good and the build quality is very nice.

Strange enough I had no Turbo Whistle what so ever with my old muffler. I could never understand why, but I guess it has to do with the internal design.

The new muffler I installed has a lot of Turbo whistle and is actually louder at idle, but not as loud on the highway. Great throttle response, but I acually feel that I've lost some Torque on boost. I guess it's the 0.5" difference in pipe size that does this.

My car was doing 445hp and 675nm of torque with the old muffler. I'm planning on upgrading the Turbo in the future and will have the muffler "sized up" then.
