VDO boost gauge to Booster? How?

...just wondering if anyone out there has a pic or two of their boost gauge-to-booster install...just got that "custom" line and reset key from NHS, and i would love not to guess...and for those who are curious, NOTHING on the boost line assembly or the reset key is golden - save for the price you pay for the convenience...
...i have found the threads covering the topic, just having an empty headed day and hoping pictures will add a thousand more words...
...thanks in advance!!!

I ran a seperate line from the gauge and teed into the over boost switch on the IC itself. The 76's don't have a brake booster so I had no trouble.

Do you have a specific question?

My kit came from NHS and it had a replacement check valve for the brake booster that had a seperate line for the boost gauge.

...im embarrassed to say, but im just not sure where the line from the gauge cuts into the brake system...i see the rubber hose - u shaped - coming off the left side of the booster, towards center of trunk, but thats too easy...im supposed to be cutting fingers and dripping blood a bit, ain't i...at least thats what ive read...ive got the kit from NHS that is to be plugged directly into the line, with a t-fitting for the line displaced by the booster...i guess as long as its not a fluid line from the reservoir, or an electrical line from the MC, i should just give it a try...

No there is no cutting. If. I remember correctly, undo the "u"' remove/unplug the old check valve from the booster being careful not to damaged the grommet in the booster. Connect the open side of the u to the NHS check valve, and push the u/NHS check valve back into the the grommet in the booster. This was the hardest part as it's pretty tight. Once in, connect the boost line to the smaller port on the check valve and route through the front "firewall" (if you want to call it that) under dash to clock hole. Tighten any clamps, I believe there was one on the base of the "u".

Correct.
Unplug the large hose from the booster.
Remove the check valve on the end -- may still be plugged into the booster. Don't damage grommet.
Install new check valve in same orientation, reconnect booster line, connect small hose to gauge.
Done.

...wow...i have a functioning boost gauge...the concept of boost is a bit different than i thought...i thought boost was building while the car was digging in, but as the gauge has me understand it, boost is "energy build-up," for lack of something more cool to say...okay, im exposing my inner idiot self here, please let it go...ive had this 930 for 2 years, spent some money and heaps of time trying to figure out why the factory gauge pegged out all the time, then landed upon a real VDO gauge on ebay that no noone was bidding on...yeah, i want to protect the engine and all, but i really want to see what its doing to better care for it...so thanks gentlemen...im sure there will be some more boost related questions from the idiot coming soon...cool stuff...

Hey congrats!! No worries, it's learning process for all of us and at times I have felt and sometimes still feel the same as you.
I will pass on some wise words that was given to me by an awesome contributor here, "remember, it's just nuts and bolts."

Good luck on all your future projects. Jeremy.
