Thanks Guard Racing!
I would like to take some time to thank Matt at Guard Racing for taking the time to get me lined out on my transmission questions. He was very helpful even though he knew up front I was not buying anything from him.....that is very rare in the Porsche world. He really knows what he is talking about, and I would recommend Guard Racing to anyone looking for a honest place to deal with!

Eric,
You are welcome. Like I told you when we started talking I don't come to Pelican to troll for business. I hang out here because I'm a car junkie and love to teach, learn and hang out with car guys. Glad I was able to provide you with information that is going to help you get to where you want to go with your car. And please be sure to post traps and ETs once you get it back together and start making runs. I bet that Mike Bruns engine you've got there runs like a top. Regards, Matt Monson Guard Transmission llc. |

My tranny is buttoned up, and back in the car. Changes this time were changing ratios on three of the gears, new ring and pinion ratio, CMS billet shift fork, CMS billet side plate, and Turbo Kraft semi solid tranny mount. The tranny already had steel synchros etc. The 5th gear I got from Guard was VERY high quality unit that went in with no problems at all. Thanks for all your help once again!
