What is your favorite thing about a 930?

I'm not sure.. so many nice things about them.

It's the 911 I always wanted when I was a little kid.

And driving the car has been phenomenally greater than even the anticipation.

It's more of what I don't like about a 930. That list is much shorter: turbo lag.

But the positives far outnumber the negatives, and I can't stick them in any particular order, as it's the whole package of the car that makes me love it so: that shape; the handling; the steering feel; the warp drive power (when it kicks in); the flat-6 whine; the heritage; the turbo burble; its simplicity compared to modern cars. It's just a bad-ass car.

I like the stunning looks, the fenders that don't belong but somehow blend perfectly with the body . The way it looks like it is moving fast even when parked.

The seats look great and are comfertable for hours on end.

The sound of the engine and the power to back it up.

The way I feel when I drive it!

Exiting turn 7 at Sebring in second gear (40 mph), car pulling hard, short shifting through a quick left/right and hauling ass down to turn 10 ... Tiptoeing through Bishops Bend at 110 mph is a close second.

It is the ultimate 911, The end of the evolutionary chain. Starting with the VW>356>911>930.
The historical significance is impressive, 'Production car' out right win at La Mans besides many other wins
Many parts including the engine case were used in very serious famous race cars like the 962, etc.
The 930 made the word 'Turbo' to mean the 'utmost', now we have 'Turbo tax' Turbo bicycle seats' etc. Before the 930 Turbo the word 'turbo' was only used to describe a device to pump air into an engine using exhaust gas pressure.
It has been a bench mark to measure performance cars.

And the number one reason I like the 930,
It's fun to drive

I always had over boosted turbo Saabs. Loved the huge turbo lag. Love the same lag in my 930. Would not be so thrilling without that anticipation of being smashed into the seat with all the mechanically screaming noise coming from behind!

Once heard it put it this way:
It's not turbo lag, it's foreplay. You know it's coming, and it's gonna be good!

Long live the king!

When I'm driving it...I'm pretty much the only 930 around for hundreds of miles!

Hate driving the same thing as everybody else.
