Here's some paint cross reference chips, very interesting. I bet over 1/2 of the guards red cars out there have a very cool original color that was covered up. They need to be unleashed!

That color looks very similar to my 72' 914-6 color. Paint code is L97G sunburst gold metallic.

All,
After about 18 month's I am please to present my newly restored '79 930. I've still got a couple of minor items to install in the interior, but other than that she is 100% complete and ready to roll. The official debut will be this weekend at the Greenville, SC Cars & Coffee. I went back on forth on what to do with the wheels, for now the centers are plasti-dip. Here is a little teaser. Comments welcome.
Thanks
Keith

Its a 1977 Euro they carried over for promotion,

I know this cos its mine,

When i bought it in the glovebox along with a crumpled up movie ticket a note a coin and some old bubblegum pre-chewed by marilyn munroe i found some tickets to see the beatles..

Wow that really is nice.
Also love to see those bumpers too. I just picked some up and really love how they look on yours. Very nice looking 930.

kas930, beautiful color!

Robbbyg, car in ad is not a 1977 Euro but a RoW 1980 Turbo (no snorkel headlight washers). Does you monitor really show Copper Bronze Metallic? kas930's color is PTS and not Copper Bronze Metallic.

Thats great
At the end of the day its US who drive them not the previous owners, one day many of us will be previous owners also and it will repeat over again..

I see special wishes as a personal thing,
My car has my special wishes in it it is one of a kind, even the paint ill be giving it will be one of a kind because im mixing it myself and im doing it by eye not by any formula or code, ..

To like the paint is important its a personal thing, im right against people who think it important to keep a car a certain color because some pooftie 20 years ago thought it was nice..its like some owners now dont have their own taste and rely on some stranger to choose it for them??

how dum is that

Not just dum but weird i just cant get my head around that.
