ruf speedline classics, fitment?
Hey guys, would these wheels 8×17 and 10×17 be a direct fitment on my 86 930? Or will I need spacers?
Thx |

I did some searches and there seems to be many different thouhts on this. Especially the rears needing 15mm spacers. My car is a regular 930

Yes your car will need them (rear)15mm...if you can get 17x9 for the fronts it will fill the front much better.

What's the offset of those Ruf wheels? Stock was 15 mm on the Fuchs.
Also, the stock set-up already has 28 mm spacers on the rear (under those Fuchs) for later 930s. So if you find that people say they are running 15 mm spacers with the Rufs, see if that's 15 + 28, or just 15 alone. I suppose you could just put on the wheels and see what they look like and if there are any clearance issues. If so, then buy a pair of 15 mm spacers (or 43 mm spacers).

My fronts are 8×17. Will this fit without spacers? Sorry wheel fitments have always confused me.

I'm running 9x17 on the front, so an 8" wide wheel can fit. But the offset has to be close to the stock 23 mm otherwise the wheel won't sit properly (too far inboard or too far outboard).

I have RUF speedlines on my 930 9"and 10"
I do think the 9"s are a bit large on the front and would have preferred 8"s . Don't 930's come with spacers as standard with Fuchs? My car has spacers and can I measure them tomorrow if it is any help? PM me if I can help? ![]() ![]()

I have 9 and 10 Speedline for Ruf on my turbo club sport as well,
as per Ruf Tuv certificate the rear should ideally fit on 15mm spacers, I used the 21mm to maximize rear track, the fitment is very tight with both the tire brand I use (Toyo R888 and Michelin PS) I tried unsuccessfully to upload a photo ![]() Simone |

I have 9-inch rims on the front axle without spacers
At the rear I have 10 "rims with 28mm spacers With the original Fuchs wheels were until 1980 Front 21mm spacers Rear axle 28mm spacers From Year 1981 28mm spacers were only mounted on the rear axle ![]() ![]()

Front spacers
Here's a pic of 9s on front. They fill out the wheel arch pretty fully. Mine ('85) does not use spacers in front. 15mm in the rear on the 10s--as others have mentioned.
