1987 930, would you change the color?

My car is currently in the shop being resprayed, all the glass is out, doors and fenders are off. Should I change the color of the car?

My car is silver and black, as I understand it Porsche did not make to many silver turbos in the 80s. As part of the respray yellow bird turbo bumpers are being installed. So now is the time to change the color if i'm gonna do it.

My 8 year old son loves green, so I considered the Signal Green and black scheme. My wife thinks i'm nuts.

what should I do, am I crazy for considering a color change?

I absolutely love the color Silver on the 930. I wish I could have found one in it when I was looking.

You kinda know where I stand on this one.

If you plan on keeping it I'd say go either way. If you're going to sell it one day, keep it silver...

It's your car. So as long as you believe the shop's going to do a proper job you should choose the color you want.

Now, if it was white, I'd say change the color ...

I'm a sucker for the 70s bubble gum colors on P-cars as well. So I can relate with your dilemma but, the attention received from a bright green 930 may tire after awhile.
Plus silver is a very cool color on our cars. Not to mention resale. Not only will a color change devalue your car but you'd really narrow down the field. Albeit to the ones with excellent taste

I love the silver too. It really shows the curves and lines of the body beautifully. Keep it Silver!

I would keep the original color, whatever it is/was; but if you want to change it, why not thinking outside the box...?
