Searching for a part (NLA): Early turbo Headlamp Washer Jet Base
It is part numbers 91162880700 & 91162880800, and mine look old and done with.
Anyone any ideas where to get them? Cheers, Simon (obligatory image so one gets responses ;) http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1388683870.jpg |
Interesting thread about the nozzles and the rubber base gasket on Rennlist. There are a few suggestions for vendors to look for. The rubber bases are pretty much unobtainium.

Thanks. Wow, someone (the Baron) created molds for it, but backed out because the cost of producing the rubber would have been too expensive, hard to believe
Maybe 3D printing can cure that? http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1388750404.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1388750413.jpg http://forums.pelicanparts.com/uploa...1388750426.jpg |
I'm looking for a pair of washer nozzles and gaskets for a project car we are working on - new or good used PM me with details!
|
yeah same here :)
|
expect to pay up for these things.... just unbelievable ! And I thought $500 would get these.
|
Soooo Stevie - guess I was bidding against you a bit!! Yeah I drew the line at $500 as well but clearly underestimated how much someone else wanted them cause they sold for $838! YIKES! Looks like Mr. Baron need to get his mold up and running and figure out how to mold the nozzles too!
|
The last set of these minus the gaskets sold in Sept for $ 430.00 Up close 100% in 3 months, these things are like Bitcoins |
And 500 for one that's broken. Unreal. Makes one rething the washer delete ;)
I just want the pads that go under them! |
Will the later washers fit? They are plentiful and relatively cheap, unless it's a concours restoration is it that big of a deal?
|
Yes, the later style will fit and will work.
|
waaaaait a second...
so the early gaskets are NLA and the later gaskets fit and work but folks are seeking to pay $400-800-whateverhundred for an orig set or dies to make a $$$ set when they can use the later ones that fit and work ??? I'm hoping (hoping) that "fit and work" means there must (must?) be some compromise ??? if not and this is some sorta "concours" thing (ugh) geesh - kick me in the fukkin nutes the day I have so much crink that I make those kinda decisions no offense - just sayin 8-) |
I had to replace one of the late style washers a couple of years ago, we ordered it from the dealer, something like $20-25 if I recall. So if that's a possibility I would do it in a flash. Typically when Porsche supersedes a part it's for a better design.
|
let's make sure we are talking about the same thing...... "Will the later washers fit ?"
The later "headlight washers" are the flat style and will work as an alternative headlight washer. They are available Pelican Parts - Product Information: 911-628-085-01-M100 Early headlight washer "gaskets" are NLA |
sorry, I interpreted the references of "washers" as the gaskets in question... not the actual units themselves - duh my bad
|
I believe *********** can get those gaskets.
|
$ 838 from a few weeks ago now looks like a steal......$ 1186.00 for these today
|
I hope you guys won't hate me for telling this but I bought a brand new set 23 years ago for $15.00 for the pair with gaskets for my 79 930. I didn't use them yet but saving them for my car. I have 4 911 and 930's that use these.
