tires for origianl Fuchs 7 and 9 x16

I recently bought a set of original Fuchs for my 930 (7 and 9 x16s). Can I get recommendations for the tire sizes I should be looking to put on them? matched sets (205s and 245s) seem a little bit difficult to find on the tire rack or discount tire websites.

thanks,

welcome to the reason I sold my Fuchs today 8-/

you can go up to 225 on the front, and they used to make a 265 rear - I got the last set of 265 Kumho's in the country apparently a couple years ago

your options are pretty limited unfortunately - what you see is what you get, sad / true

my car came w/ one of those few options that appear to still be available - the 205/245 Fuzion ZRi's or whatever... pretty much junk IMO

Bridgestone Re-11 comes in those sizes. If you can fit 225-50/16 up front you can run Toyo Ra-1. I don't know of any other choices

Toyo T1-R street tire shows up as available in 245/45/16. Google the size. You can also get 225/50/16 or 205/55/16 T1-R to match.

I ordered a set of Bridgestone RE-11 in 245/45/16 rear and 225/50/16 fronts. You'll see they dont offer this as a combo if you enter '198* 911 Turbo Coupe' or search for the combo by size. It's because the fronts are V-rated and rears W-rated. Didn't bother me so I ordered a set.

Good luck,
Bryant

You can also get Toyo RA1's and I think 888's but they are both R compound rubber.
RA1's have always been good tires for me, but they do not last long. Great if you want to go to DE events.

I went this route before going to the zuffenhaus 17's.

the ra-1 rears were 245/50/16...full tread gumballs!!!

highly recommend the ra-1...sticky, round, quiet, and full tread available!!!

Worth mentioning, although others have been happy with 225s on the front, I really disliked the feel, felt dull and unresponsive apart front not liking the look, luckily I was given some matching new 205s from Vas on this board. Car came back to life.

Thank you all for the responses. I will look into the options and post here what I decide.

For what it's worth, I currently have 225/40/18s in the front and 285/30/18s in the rear on BBS wheels. The car looks fantastic, but it's a really rough ride. Great for high performance driving, but not so much for the random run to dinner with the wife, or weekend drive around town on our streets. I'm hoping the original set up will cure some of these foes and still maintain the car's all out nature.
