Boost gauge feed
Just curious,
Should I run a direct line from my intake manifold to my boost gauge or can I "T" off of the brake booster? |

Here we go, there are split opinions.
I run a separate line directly from the intake. Some t off the brake booster but look at the size of that line. It's huge. The smaller dedicated line method is more accurate and instant.

LOL, mine is an old analog gauge, so not too accurate.

I'm off the booster, first in my 2bar 935 telltale and now on my NHS vacuum / 1.5bar boost gauge.
The telltale was terribly sleepy - but - the NHS gauge responds perfectly. The 935 gauge needed a refurb. So, yeah... fielder's choice. I'd go the easy route, then if yer not satisfied you can always do the full run. I'll bet you'll be just fine tho off the booster. As Brando inferred... YMMV. |

Mine is reading from the brake booster right now, since that's how I got it. Seems like neither way is going to be ideal considering the length of vacuum line required, but it seems to work fine. If I had my way i'd have a sender from the engine bay and an electric boost gauge up front, but I doubt its worth the effort.
