Factoery IC on a 76 with diverter delete?

Hi is it possible to do this?

engine= 3.0 930
with all factory parts.

I know I can Replace inlet manifold with 3.3 inlet manifold so i can use 930 1988 factory intercooler ok no prob

However
The Diverter valve housing.

Can i Delete the factory housing and run a stock IC straight to the Inlet manifold or where ever it goes like the fabspeed longneck ic's do??

Yes you can. A couple of ways to do this: Buy a hi temperature silicon adapter to join the IC to the throttle body, or take off your existing diverter valve manifold and cut off the end that bridges the IC to the throttle body and plug off the cutoff end. You'll also need an updated rubber elbow 964'ish to mount a blowoff valve.
I did a nasty looking but functional hack job of my manifold because I'm not very refined and kind of an out-of-the-box kind of dude; I think Brian has a picture or two of a more refined conversion. Do a search, lots of info on here.

Here's mine: BOV update with short neck IC
