911T revs up in between shifts??

Hey guys hopefully someone can help with this. I'm putting together a 1971 911T with a mostly stock 2.2 (Webers and headers) I have installed all new bushings throughout throttle linkage, rebuilt pedal assy, new gas pedal - I'm outta parts to change, RPM's rise in between shifts! Maybe something with carbs? When I free rev engine It comes right down and sounds great. Thanks in advance

Check for interference in the tunnel (forward section) between your clutch and accelerator cables.
A common thing to check just after working on the pedal cluster.
Hope this helps.
