Cole, not funny! JF, jealous, but not enough to move south. Sometimes I wonder, like today when I smashed my '13 Lexus into a guardrail going a whopping 5mph, trashed my rim and alignment, probably bent some suspension. First accident in 20 years I think. Dammmmit.
I'm making the same lemonade out of these white lemons here in Iowa. New rings, some hoses, all oil leaks, clutch cable, ER bushings/mb/etc, shocks, tires. What else ya gonna do in the winter, drink yourself warm? Maybe.... ![]()

Bryan:
That's just wrong man, but I'd sure take a little of it right now !!! Bob: I don't know whats with the E-Mail but I did get some pics of that beautiful stable of P cars of yours. If I can make it I'll try to hook up with you at Mid Ohio. Steve: Sorry to hear about the Lexus but it sure does come with this weather. Glad you weren't hurt so you can get all that important P car stuff done before it warms up. Mark & Paul: The PULL knob is a quick release for the extinguisher bottle. I took the bottle out while I was installing the new Rennline bits. I don't need a chute, old people rarely get over 50 or so !!!!! In first gear !!!!! DSP: I haven't played any poker since the great war. I was playing one nite and bluffed the last and largest pot of the nite. The guy I had bluffed got pissed and cut me with a straight razor. When I rubbed my side and saw the blood I lost it. He ended up in the hospital and I ended up in the brig. When I went before the Commander and he got the whole story I got away with 5 days for gambeling and I haven't played since. The Sled and I are together to the end. I'm going to be cremated and my 3 sons in law promised they will come and get my jar and take me out for rides in the Sled. Cole

But if I was to be stuck in a jar 'til eternity', I'd wanna make sure it was a cool jar, and not something from the back of the cremators shed. Also make provisions to be fastened securely in the cockpit, so you don't go flying about in case of a crash and injure (or worse!) one of the lads! By the way your car is great, surely one of the coolest 930's around! Enjoy the snow, I envy it! //Fred

Mikie:
Way to go budd, I really appreciate your getting that title switched. I was really feeling bad because of Marks fire. I was just trying to post about the awful weather we have been having. BIG THANKS!!!! Fred: Good to hear from you !!!! The cremation thing is the only way to go. My wife is going to keep me here at home until she croaks and then the kids are going to put us in the same jar. My wife is the greatest, she is truely my soul mate. She has always given to others and never asked for anything from others. She had always dreamed of having a new house but always thought of others before herself. I in 2002 I got the bright idea that I would design and build her a new house. I bought a place 3 miles outside of town with a small existing home, 4 acres, lots of trees, and a nice pond with woods behind it. I tore the original house down to the plate and started in. It took me 6 or 7 years nites and weekends but my wife has her new house. ![]() To bring this boring tripe to an end; This is the back yard and my wife wants our ashes spread behinde the pond so she can always see her house. ![]() ![]() Cole

Great to see your posts Cole.
Hope all is fine. Pictures looks like Norway:-). We had quite some snow here, but most of it has already rained away. But only 2 hours away there is still plenty of snow. Take care. We all looking forward to see the sled out kicking :-)

Bob:
We will get together one of these days. I'd love to see your cars and we can talk Porsche's. Whenever Mikie D. goes to P2O in Ohio he stays with Sheila and I before going back to Mo. We usually stay up most of the nite talking Porsche's. I actually think Mikie comes just for my wifes cooking. In reference to the tail, it's an old A.I.R. original. I have had it for years just waiting to be able to use it. There is a completely practical reason for buying it at the bottom of this post. I'll give you a call soon so I can catch up on the projects (plural) progress Aschen: North or South if you have anything close to my total disregard for Social or Political correctness your ok in my book. Rob: After 45 days of this the beauty of it is wearing a little thin with us. These old turbos certainly love that cold air though. Trond: Good to hear from you buddy. I used to travel through Norway when I worked in the East Block. Absolutely one of the most beautiful countries I have ever seen and some wonderfully kind people. It's the only tail that would cover this !!! ![]()

All that snow in the trees with clear blue sky is beautiful but yeah it sucks driving in traffic in it.
At the same time I remember what fun it was to find an empty shopping plaza parking lot at night where there was lots of room to do slow motion spins and donuts in a few inches of fresh snow with no chance of hitting anything with friends in your winter rat with a decent stereo. That was 35+ years ago when I lived up north in the snow belt. |

I'm thinking back to 1975 in my first car a 1970 mercury montego... It was reliable and fun for what it was after I put Gabriel strider adjustable shocks in it set on extra firm
