Replacing Oil Breather Swedge Fitting
Pelicanites,
I went on a fishing expedition this weekend to try an find the source of my cars strange run-ability issues. Once I had the airbox off I found what I consider to be an unacceptable amount of oil on the front (towards front of car) of the motor where the crankcase breather lives. I remember reading a few threads where folks replaced the swedge fitting with a length of suitable hose/clamps. I cannot for the life of me find the threads now. Anyone have that info? I am most interested in if this can be done with the motor in the car, its very tight in there but it looks possible. What are the hose dimensions people went with? I assume fuel/oil resistant hose is the order of the day? Thanks for the help folks.
