79 930 close to $150K

No doubt the Ebay 79 930 is a low mile well documented beauty. but no sport seats, original radio exchanged and a standard color. I thought Jan 1 2014 Hagarty value chart was optimistic but now I could see the perfect storm 930 with ALL the good stuff get even more than this one. Now I know why all the contacts lately on mine and other ones in the wings. Glad I stay tuned to this , Renn list and Ferrari chat forums along with other feedback. These cars are really getting some serious, long over due interest. I did a appraisal inquiry last year for a under 8000 mile 77 930 original owner Black/Black perfect with sport seats, sunroof delete @ $175K. That will definitely have to be readjusted.

Um, I'm sure I don't have to tell you eBay auctions are not the same as confirmed sales. I wouldn't go readjusting anything based on one sale, especially one "sale" on eBay. I'm sure our cars are going up in value, I just wouldn't start rewriting the book based on this car. The bidding may be real--or not. Two very active and frequent bidders on this car, which smells a little fishy to me. Many have their irrational exuberance glasses on for sure with this one.

When one of those Ferrari Chat guys offers me a nice series 1 330GT in a straight up trade for my 930, I'll know that we have arrived.

Hi

The green 1978 car selling for $60,200 on EBay just floored me. I still do not understand why the 1975-79 series is worth so much more then the 1986-89. Of course two are out of reach the 1975 and 1989.

Irrational or not, just like BJ, etc auctions, generally two buyers that "gotta have it" continue on beyond the rest. It may just be their ideal 930 that is a almost non repeatable opportunity to keep and cherish till death do them part.

Its a collectors preference. Hand welded finders, floating rotors, no emissions, lighter car (IE no footwell blowers ect) VIN that starts with 930. 75/79 RoW cars probably less than 500 exists today of each year. Definitely the 75/77 years. 1980 and up cars did not use a VIN that starts with 930.

^uhhhh boy, here we go again w/ the VIN crap^

869 posts for you since '06, 868 of them beat this dead horse

you seem to be profoundly obsessed w/ "value" of these cars (yeah - I said these... the lowly bastard redheaded stepchild '80s+ included) here there everywhere

we get it - 930's are worth a lot of money - whatever their VIN may read

the tedium and minutia grows wearisome unfort dude... please give it a rest already

79 930

Seller ended early for a solid offer.
Anyone's guess but at least 150K.
