Putting out an APB: where to find a 4" intake hose for the turbo inlet

I've searched the ends of the internet to no avail.

Where can I find some hose/tubing (about 2 feet long) that is flexible enough to make about a 30* bend but strong enough for resisting collapsing from vacuum (shouldn't be any but.....)?

Trying to put on my huge 12" long cone K&N finally I've had since the late '90's on my turbo. My weeny air filter I think is choking off my turbo. It's only 2.5" deep with a 6" OD. Way too small.

I'd like a smoother outside, no excessively big pleats if possible.

Silicone 30

I just had a good experience with Chris over at TurboKraft. If he is out of ideas you might want to try and Hedi over at Bisimoto Engineering. They just fabricated a 18ft extension for an AFR sensor for me. They do some pretty unique builds I believe and might be of help.

Good luck

Hi Tippy,

I don't have a supply for what you are specifically looking, but did my 4" inlet with silicone and aluminum from JRP who are here in Mississauga. I believe they distribute for Vibrant who might have a distributor closer to you.

My car felt stronger when I went to a big cone from the short thing.

Thanks guy, I've seen all of those already.

I'll rewrite that I'm looking for about 2" of length in the OP, those are mostly shorter.

This place is great for couplings and tubing:

Hey Tippy, you might want to check out D-man at

Race Part solutions - Race Part Solutions

I used his tubing, silicone, and dual seal connectors.

He might have something you could use or know where you could get it.

I went with a 4 inch filter as well, here are some pics of how I did it.

I've fabricated tons of things of metal, but I suck at judging angles of tubing. Designing headers/exhaust is an impressive skill not using CAD!

That's why I want a longer run for prototype; that way I can have a visual to make a better judgement of actual angles and bends using only aluminum tubing for rev 2. Of course silicone couplings to mate filter and elbow coming off turbo to fabbed aluminum pipe (rev 2).

Cory:

Try intakehoses.com I've used them for years,. Great service, good prices, and
they have everything.

Thanks Cole. I actually bought from Race Part Solutions for a straight 12" piece of 4" silicone hose thanks to "nocarrier".

Hope it'll work.

Rev 2 will be a nice mandrel piece of aluminum tubing.
