Turbo seal or drainage issue?

Hi guys, I have a GT30R turbo that just gravity drains back to the crankcase. It's been this way for over 6 years and has never had an issue. I have recently been driving the car around the city, there can be some steep inclines in car parks etc. If I sit too long on a incline, about 20 seconds it starts blowing smoke, the smoke goes away once the car is flat again.

Wondering if:

a: The turbo seals need replacing as the oil really shouldn't be entering the exhaust even if it wasn't draining, right?

b: I need to get a pump as a few others here have done for drainage?

Cheers!

I'm gonna call it pump issues. What kind of turbo oil drip tank do you have? Is it vented?

Hey oilonly, I don't have a drip tank, just runs straight from the turbos oil exit to the crankcase. Remember the ball bearing turbos only run a fraction of the oil a K27 runs through. I have seen this set up on a lot of cars including those from protomotive and M&K. It is a 3.2 not a 3.3, doesn't have a scavenger pump. Relies on the main oil pump.

Maybe someone else can reply, i was thinking maybe the oil is backing up into the turbo under certain conditions.

^^^this...oil pooling into the turbo can cause the turbo to smoke on start up. Just need to avoid parking on steep incline (back of car on lower part) with your set up.
