Jacob...I'll take your offer for a place to sleep at your secret place! This would free up some $$ for track day. I don't party hard just drive hard so don't worry about me tearing up your place!

Ohhhh schnapp!.. as the kids say!

Seriously, had planned to head out to the "Porsche to Ohio" event as well.. but errr uhhh, considering the fact that I missed T-Palooza 1, I may just have to make it to this one!

I'm sure I'll have several local to me turbo-heads (with some serious hardware) that may want to make the trek as well.

Jacob, Paul.. thanks for the effort already put in to get this going!

Paul.

Beautiful track facility, one of my favorites. Middle of the sticks.

Bumpity bump gentlemen.

I've been contacted by the good folks at Monticello Motor Club. The calendar is filling up fast and they're asking me to lock in the precise day and get a headcount so they can plan for their staffing needs. This is a little less than 4 months away now...seems like a while but it will be here before we know it. Its time to $hit or get of the pot, so to speak.

I need to know:
Who is committed to visit MMC
Who is committed to drive the MMC track

I suspect the driver count is most sensitive as the club needs to schedule instructors.

Let me know your date preferences between Friday the 25th or Saturday the 26th.

PM or post here please.

Sorry Todd, but depending on which direction I take (fly and drive, or fly and fly and ship) your record and everyone else's may be seriously trumped for all eternity. Need to get my T'bo Palooooooza $hit together and figure it all out.

I'm down for driving MMC if it's Saturday. (Taking a ton of time off in mid-July for family cruise and can't take another day that soon after.) Hopefully we can still run the long course- 3.9 miles or so if I recall?

And... in honor and anticipation of this event, I just spoke to Chris and ordered up a TK long neck for the occasion. Stoked!

MMC says they are good for the 26th of July. I have 2 firm commitments to drive (TT surgeon, GSXR Ken). Delta911 sounds like you want in too.

This will be 1/2 day on track at MMC with instructor. Catered lunch too - price is $550 drive your own car.

Monticello is not your typical track. Private, members only facility...sort of like a country club, but there is a race track instead of a golf course. Because its a private facility, they have small run groups, and lots of track time. I estimate a full day at Monticello includes similar track time to a whole weekend of your typical track day. Even so it's not cheap. Believe it or not, what is being offered to the group here is actually a "deal". Opportunities for non-members to drive here are limited.

Anyone who comes to this turbopalooza event who doesn't have the budget for track time can just hang at the club and watch the action. $50 per person for access to the club, includes lunch. The club chef is awesome....he bakes cookies after lunch so in the afternoon when you come in after an on-track session, you have hot fresh baked chocolate chip cookies to munch on

I'll be happy to give people right seat rides in the 911 racer

heck, MMC promises to be outright arctic compared to 1200mi to a July DE @ CMP in SC...

or more werserer...

...350mi to Roebling Road in Gabe's Blkbrd... in AUG (cyrkie!)

this will be calm & refreshing in comparo

also note, Monticello's something like 4mi long

that's a good amount of time out there

def not fer the squeamish but as Jake mentioned non-member opp's there are slim, and it (appears to be) quite the brilliant setup getup out thar

verymuch lookin forward to that... but not nearly as much as meeting and burnin around w/ a coupla yous knuckleheadz, we've got such a kewl array of dudes amongst our fray and getting to hang is jollygoodfun

^that^ is sobeyondfun it's not even funny... those who've 'PALOOZAd - know

This all sounds so cool. I would be coming from Daytona Beach Fla. long hall, i grew up in the NE and miss that summer weather, I have never tracked a car, would it be crazy to start here?
I just dropped this on the miss, still trying to read her.

I keep noticing alot of texas and southern 930 posters, we should do a down south Turbo gathering sometime. Id love to go to this but its just too far.

Ive owned my 930 for 20 years and the number of other 930 owners I have met in ral life can be counted on one hand. I don't even think I need the thumb.
