FINAL Update on 930 Eurospec import

Just wanted to let you all know the 930 is legally registered as of last Friday!!! In its entirety the project was relatively straight forward albeit mentally & emotionally draining. The biggest bureaucratic disconnect was between NYSDMV not recognizing US Customs documents at first glance. This was corrected by finding a DMV with employees with better,,,,, shall we say acumen. Would I recommend anyone doing it? Truth is I am fluent in German & had relatives in Germany to assist. Without that I could imagine the process may become more difficult. That being said, if someone were to find a car in Europe & wish to bring it Stateside, it is a doable thing & can be done for 2-4K $.
So there you have it. Any questions will be gladly answered. Looking forward to some great drives this Fall. I shall be on the Forum regularly, its got great info & many of you are quite knowledgeable.

Gorgeous. Not a lot of cars that I like in White, but a 911 is definitely one. Nice to know that classic 911s can go from Europe to North America, it seems there is quite the flood heading to Europe.

That's because the Europeans are flat out crazy for the 80s air cooled. Tuff to find & very few originals. I personally was offered six figures for mine while in Germany & turned it down. So if you are up to selling a 911 to the euro ppl, try listing on ebay.de... They are def worth more cash back in Germany. I know I made a lot of enemy's taking this one Stateside. LOL

Good to know. My 930 is originally a German car though was imported and federalized in the early '80s. But I'm currently importing a '74 Euro Carrera... literally on the boat now, supposed to arrive in port next week. So far the customs process has been smooth but we'll see how it goes w/ the DMV. I might ping you if I run into road blocks there given your experience importing the 930.

Speednme1 Its an 87 44,000 miles. Yes its a Recaro driver side. I do have the original. More pics in my garage. Cheers.
