Rear tail light plug

Hi there! I have to introduce the wire's plug of the rear tail light housing (left) into the gap of the body (the gap between the top of the wheel and the engine compartment) Does anyone have a good technique to do it ? it makes me crazy Thanks guys! (911 G type)

push it in then use a small flat screw driver to "pull" the plug into the hole. i thought it was going to be a pain when i pulled mine out but it went back in very easy.

WD40 on the rubber can help, as said.
