Wondering how many if any are still using the the original floating rotor setup?

Why changing them - I wonder... coming from the 917??

Anyway, I do have them and work great!

If they rattle that means they are working. They often like to weld to the hub with brake dust. After this happens they are not as affective and they are just as quite as one piece rotors.

I have them on my stock 79 930 but not on my 1979 DP935. I may put them back on at some point.

Had them on my donor crashed car and they are going back on my RST build.
Great rotors for both road and track.

I do too, the rattling will drive you to distraction from time to time, but awesome brakes.

Ditto. Rotors cost an arm and a leg, but oh well...

Floating rotors get to rattling when the hats wear out as mine did. I made new hats and spacers and trued everything up and now the brakes are completly quiet, still float and the braking is awesome with no shudder or pulling left or right. It was a lot of work but for brakes like this it's well worth the effort.
